Cullen Douglas is perhaps most recognized for his recurring roles on Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, CBS’s Pure Genius and ABC’s smash hit, Scandal – And his recent appearance on Showtime’s Twin Peaks broke the internet just a little… For his performance as “The Birdman” on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, producers submitted Cullen for EMMY® consideration in the “Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series” Category. Other recent Guest Appearances include ACS: Versace/Cunanan opposite Judith Light, Scorpion and American Woman, opposite Mena Suvari. Cullen has also appeared on such fan favorites as True Blood, Prison Break, Psych, and Deadwood. Starring film roles include the big-screen thriller Shuttle, Sunshine State, The Possession of Michael King, Ace Ventura Jr. and The Dog Lover. He next stars opposite Frankie Muniz in, The Black String which makes its World Premiere at the 2018 Austin Film Festival. As a Writer he was the first recipient of the Humanitas Prize’s “New Voices” which awarded him a Television Development Deal. Besides script doctoring work for studios; Cullen wrote the screenplay, Plate River which currently has Elizabeth Perkins attached to star, co-wrote the feature, Letters To God and wrote and directed the short films, Fading Scars and Portrait of a Woman at Dawn - starring Scottie Thompson, Elizabeth Roberts, Phil Abrams and the Asylum’s very own, Brian Letscher. Cullen has also been Coaching fellow Actors for over 25 years, both privately and in group settings. BRIAN LETSCHER CO-FOUNDER
Brian Letscher has been a Professional Actor for over 19 years, best known for playing the ever-dangerous “Agent Tom Larsen” on all seven seasons of ABC’s smash-hit Scandal - a role for which Producers submitted Brian for EMMY® consideration in the “Outstanding Guest Actor in a Drama Series” Category on three different occasions, Brian most recently recurred as devilish Director of CIA Special initiatives, “Tucker Magnus”, on the CW’s Valor. He has also been a Series Regular on Hollywood Heights and Recurred on numerous other shows – including Grimm, Shooter and Pretty Little Liars. He most recently starred opposite Actresses Scottie Thompson and Elizabeth Roberts in Portrait of a Woman at Dawn. Brian comes from Michigan and NYC theatre and is a proud member of the Rogue Machine and Pacific Resident Theatre companies in LA. As a Writer, his most recent play, Smart Love, is an LA Times "Critic's Choice" and is currently playing to sold-out house at Pacific Resident Theatre in Venice, CA after a sold-out World Premiere run at Jeff Daniels’ The Purple Rose Theatre in Chelsea, MI. As a Teacher, Brian most recently directed all the scenes for The Actor's Connection LA Workshops and taught the On-Camera and the Master Class at The Acting Corp in Hollywood. Previously, in between his own acting gigs, he taught a small, private On-Camera class on the Westside and also does private Audition Prep - both in person and via Skype. Brian studied in NYC at various studios, most notably with legendary NYC teacher, Wynn Handman, and at prestigious Public Theatre Shakespeare Lab. Brian’s Basic Philosophy: “The Actor has everything they need in their life experience and imagination to play the part. Understand the 'given's', be specific and clear about the place, relationships, moment before, etc., have an intense need to be in the room and then simply get the hell out of your way and play! We don't see you acting, we get to see you…fire the damn critic.”
KELLY HOLDEN BASHAR
KELLY HOLDEN BASHAR is an Actress, Improvisor, Writer and Teacher. She believes passionately in the power of storytelling and its ability to create connections. For Kelly, improv is a vital and powerful component of her Acting career. As an Actress, she was most recently seen on NBC’s Marlon, prior to that, she played Martin Freeman’s wife Pearl Nygaard in the Golden Globe and Emmy-winning hit miniseries Fargo on FX. Favorite credits include Speechless, Scorpion, Parks and Recreation, 2 Broke Girls, and Dog With A Blog. As a Voice Actress, Kelly brought several voices to life in the animated film, Smallfoot. As a Writer, one of her credits she is most proud of is being the co-writer of, (and portraying “Pippin” in), the multi-award winning play Fellowship! The Musical Parody of “The Fellowship of the Ring.” As an Improvisor, Kelly has performed full-length, improvised plays all over the world; venues include the Pasadena Playhouse, Garry Marshall Theatre, The Broad, The Oregon Shakespeare Festival, Det Andre Teatret (Oslo) and the Ford Theater. She has taught Improv for many years as a faculty member of Impro Theatre, where she is also a member of the Main Company. She has led Improv Workshops for many major corporations including Disney, established Improv teams, and in schools.
